Andrea Fastenow, PTA, RYT 200
Yoga Instructor
Yoga and I first became acquainted with each other in 2008 when I was training for endurance events; I was too exhausted (read: lazy) to stretch after my long runs or bike rides, so I used yoga as a supplemental workout at the gym. Years later, yoga became my therapy, and I was able to turn my brain off and just focus on my breath, my body, and myself. When my practice became more than just a supplement to my physical and mental health, I knew I was ready to learn more.
In 2017, I completed a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sellwood Yoga. Since graduating, I have taught Restorative Yoga, Calm Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and a very special class- Yoga for Healing from Cancer. As a result of these various movement classes, my mission as a teacher has become slowing down the pace of the class and finding what feels right for your body. I look forward to moving with you soon.
When I'm not teaching yoga, I spend my days as a Physical Therapist Assistant teaching my patients how to regain strength, mobility, balance, and function. As a lover of fresh air, food, and fun- I enjoy traveling, hiking, drinking coffee, kayaking, riding motorcycles with my husband, trying to snuggle every animal, and laughing as much as possible.
